Background

Empower is an award-winning, US-based creative media agency. Its team of experts in audience, media, message and measurement deliver data-driven, tech-enabled and emotionally-charged creative media. It prides itself on challenging the media status quo and is always on the lookout for the best technology partners in the market to enable this. 

Following a lengthy and disruptive onboarding period with its incumbent search technology back in 2012, Empower was hesitant to start anew with Kenshoo for fear of an equally painful process. However, with very little innovation coming from its existing provider, and experience with a smooth onboarding of Amazon Advertising campaigns onto Kenshoo, the agency decided to move all of its clients search activity onto Kenshoo in early 2020.

Kenshoo’s team of onboarding experts were on hand from day one to make the process painless. Realistic timeframes were laid out, detailed account templates were shared and the roles and responsibilities of both parties were clearly defined to ensure that everyone’s expectations were aligned.

Weekly status meetings and regular communication ensured that project timelines did not slip and that all accounts were live by the time their existing tool provider cut off support.

In addition to defining profile structures, connecting channels and importing campaigns, the Kenshoo team was able to bring in historical data going back to 2016 and provided additional value throughout the launch phase by auditing the accounts and providing additional clean-up support.

At the same time, Kenshoo’s client success and training teams used the onboarding period to familiarize the client with the product and ensure they were ready to hit the ground running when the campaigns went live.

Both phases of the onboarding process were handled in under four weeks – and in that time Empower even brought on one new piece of business which the Kenshoo team handled with ease.
